Exception while running tests through cassandra-unit - junit

I keep getting this error while running junit tests in maven : com.datastax.driver.core.TransportException: [/127.0.0.1] Channel has been closed
It eventually leads to OutOfMemory exception.
I am using cassandra-unit to run an embedded cassandra cluster. After a few test cases it starts throwing the following error :

Maybe do a clean driver shutdown before the test suite is torn down...
Looks like a typical 'connection closed' stack trace by the driver which is expected behavior when the test is finished and the driver ('Cluster' object) has still open connections.
Try a com.datastax.driver.core.Cluster#close() call in a #After-annotated tear down method of your test case.

Network is Unreachable error from Compute Engine (but fine from local machine)

I am getting an error for my Java-based test code snippet when I run it from a GCE instance (whereas it works fine from my local machine, with the right credentials).
I used to be able to run Pub/Sub code from GCE instances just a few months ago, but seems like no longer. Not sure if this is an ipv4/ipv6 issue, but I can't find any information out there on how to properly configure GCE instances now to work with Pub/Sub.
Not sure if this is the issue, but it seems like i can reach pubsub.googleapis.com with ping, but not ping6:
ping pubsub.googleapis.com
PING pubsub.googleapis.com (173.194.196.95) 56(84) bytes of data.
vs.
ping6 pubsub.googleapis.com

I can't find any information out there on how to properly configure GCE instances now to work with Pub/Sub.
There is no Pub/Sub-specific configuration necessary for GCE VMs to talk to the Pub/Sub service. This seems like a networking issue outside the scope of the Pub/Sub service.

getting Exception "java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.transaction.HeuristicMixedException"

I am using mysql 5.7 database and Jboss 4.2.3 application server. I am using managed connection in our application and for JMS messaging we use XA transaction.
Our application support Oracle, MSSql Server and PostgreSQL database as well and we are using these databases with the same Jboss configuration and everything was working properly without any error.
But now we thought to use mysql5.7(latest) database as well with the same Jboss configuration.
Now my problem is :
when we do any transaction(two phase commit) then when transaction gets committed and after that JMS messages start sending, till now it is ok but just after that it throws exception "java.lang.RuntimeException: javax.transaction.HeuristicMixedException".

Because of that we are not able to proceed further.
I am trying to fix it from previous some of the days. Also I researched so many links, websites, blogs but doesn't work for me. I tried everything but not able to fix the problem.
It is something that is causing the problem from the XA Transaction but not able to identify the exact reason why it is ?
I have only replaced the previous database to mysql5.7. With other databases it is working fine.
please help me out to find out the exact cause of this exception and solution as well. Thank you so much in advance

This means that there is some problem with your Standalone.xml. Take a fresh one, it should work.
Here are the relevant lines
JBAS014676: Failed to parse configuration

Looks like you're missing a configuration file (or more likely it's empty).
I just came across the same problem and found out that standalone.xml was empty.
I don't know what could have caused this though... U can find back up of ur standalone.xml in ${AS7_installation}/standalone/configuration/standalone_xml_history

Build step 'Deploy to CloudBees' marked build as failure
The full output can be seen here.
Caused by: hudson.remoting.ProxyException: com.cloudbees.api.BeesClientException: Server.InternalError - Invalid WEB-INF/cloudbees-web.xml: resource
Your cloudbees-web.xml doesn't follow the correct format.
See http://wiki.cloudbees.com/bin/view/RUN/CloudBeesWebXml - as the cloudbees-web.xml needs to be wrapped in an outer <cloudbees-web-app> element
You also don't have to use cloudbees-web.xml if you don't want - if you bind your app to a DB it will make it available as a named datasource automatically.
(see bees app:bind command).
You only have to do this once - and then the app will know about the datasource.

The app seems to be working fine, however I get massive log calls with the following stacktrace:
org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader loadClass
INFO: Illegal access: this web application instance has been stopped already. Could not load com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException. The eventual following stack trace is caused by an error thrown for debugging purposes as well as to attempt to terminate the thread which caused the illegal access, and has no functional impact.

Any information on how to remove that INFO log would be very much helpful thanks!
UPDATE: Is this a critical error? Or can should I just ignore it?
After a search on the web regarding this issue, I found some similar issues reported by several people. All of them point to a common problem: Threads. Basically, if you start new threads in your application (either in your code or by using a third party tool like Quartz, you have to make sure that all of the threads are stopped appropriately when the application is undeployed from the server. Here are some quotes from the searches:
Mikolaj Rydzewski wrote:
It looks like after webapp's instance has been undeployed, background quartz thread wants to do something and then exception occurs.
Another (and better explanation) on jspwiki.org:
It is possible that this is caused by Tomcat unsuccessfully reloading the web application. The app is unloaded, but all threads don't get shut down properly. As a result, when the threads try to run, they get clobbered by the fact that Tomcat has shut down its classloader, and an error is logged.
So, in order to solve this issue you have to make sure all threads started by your application will be stopped at application undeployment (or redeployment, it's the same). You can do this by registering a ServletContextListener to your application server and stopping your threads inside contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent) method.
If you are using log4j, change your logging settings to something like this (the word ERROR replace INFO) :
log4j.rootLogger=ERROR, file, stdout
log4j.logger.org.hibernate=ERROR
They are located in the the log4j.properties file in yr project.
OK I switched to boneCP, c3p0 does not really seem to work for java6!!!
