So after i'm almost finishing a multiplayer game (that worked locally using a player.io server debugged in visual studio C#) i was wondering what will/should do when i want to add this game online, to my website?
Do I need a server? (I think they cost a lot)
Should I upload the player.io files in my website too?
How will I debug my player.io server?
upload your dll using the backoffice and host your swf by yourself and evrything will be fine :)

I have some HTML/CSS changes I need to make on an existing project for a client. I already cloned the repository on my machine but I'm not really sure how to set it up to view the changes locally.
I'm seeing lots of files with the .gsp extension and after some googling I discovered those files mean this is a Grails/Groovy Server Pages project, which I have zero experience with (I'm a Front End Developer btw)
I already located all the HTML/CSS code I need to change, so what I need to do is learn the basic commands to get the project running locally so I can view the changes after I make them before pushing to the actual repo.
Anybody has an idea on how to set these kinds of GSP projects up on Visual Studio Code for MacOS?
Any help would be very much appreciated!
I think the easiest approach for you would be to start Grails separately using the command prompt. Identify the version of Grails for your project, and follow the instructions from Grails to setup the dev environment.
Also, remember you probably also have some sort of database to install and initialize.
I made application in vb 2010. And everything works great at mine computer. I made release and publish the application when i sen!

Could not load file or assembly Mysql...
Also is there any way i can put net framework 4.5 to be installed with my application ?
You can include NET Framework by the following way. At least in Visual Basic 2010...
Through Project Tab you open Project properties.
Then in Publish Tab you Click Prerequisites Button.
There you can select the things you want to diistribute and the way they will be distributed.
I have an AS3 application, and a Windows Service running in the local network, how can I connect the AS3 App to the Windows Service running in the other PC?
If the question is pretty vague it's because I don't have a clue on how/what the possibilities are and I'd like to know what should I search/look for, any hints are appreciated.
If this isn't possible, what would be a good course of action?
I would assume you are talking about AIR desktop development, for Flash there is no such possibility. You should have a look at AIR native extention, which supports desktop environment. Basically, your app talks to the native extension, which then talks to OS.

I have developed my most complex Flash ActionScript app. I dont know how much complex they can get but I think mine is quite ordinary. it has about 1500 objects which are tween with zoom and colour changes only on click and connects to a database for data, eg, names of the objects are in a database. I have hard-coded the path to the web app that reads the database. The flash app reads the database from the web app (Visual Studio/server).
It works in my development environment (Flash CS4 > F12), with my required explores, ie, IE & FF.
However, when I try to run the the published version of it (.swf), which is in the same folder as the project, I simply get the error screen "Adobe Flash Player 10.0 r2 has stopped working", and nothing else happens. I am a little scared that I may have no way of publishing it for my client without having the whole code in the clients computer... Is there something I need to do to have it work in a server environment without Adobe Flash installed, ie, just the .swf file and the server settings with the database?
Note also that this worked when I started the project, when I was running a small file but as it grew bigger, even the debug mode stopped working...
I am running Win 7 64 bit, Flash CS4 and Visual Studio 2010 on my computer.
Thanks.
Sounds like a problem with the Adobe Flash Player web browser plugin you have installed, rather than a problem with your app or your swf. Try upgrading the plugin.
10.0 is a pretty old version by now, current version is 11.6. Also, it's a ".0" version, and 10.0 is known to have problems. It may or may not be important that your swf works in older Flash Players, including 10.0, but overall, not that many users have 10.0 installed today (http://www.statowl.com/flash.php).
Once upon a time,I have also meets up this issue, I found some root causes by using Vector class or invalid interfaces.
I have to create an application which has to read some files from the local system. As the FileSystem classes are availabe only in the AIR applications I created it as AIR application. But after publishing, the exe is not working. How can I make it working?
Might help you....
