google maps image overlay bounds doesn't match google earth? - google-maps

I am trying to put an image overlay on google map with bounds. But the image is not mapping to the bounds. I tested using the same bounds in google earth and it works fine there. Can someone please let me know if I need to anything different with google maps to use the same bounds??

fixed using GroundOverlay instead of OverlayView

Xamarin: Can I add an image to Google Maps with bounds on iOS?

How do I add an image to google maps that has bounds? I have a rectangle image and would like to layer it on the map using its north-east and south-west points. Since the image is location based, I also want that image to re-size when the user zooms in and out.

Clicking markers on Google Static Maps

I have an application that downloads static images off Google maps, with markers placed where I want them (Placed by passing arguments into the Google Static Maps URL). However, I also need to be able to click the markers. I figured I could convert the x and y coordinate is the click to lon/lat, and then figure out that way which marker was clicked, but I haven't found that too easy.
I know the dimensions of the map in pixels, the zoom level, and the centre point of the map in pixels and lon/lat, so I followed this blog post. Unfortunately this didn't work.
Does anyone know how I could do this, or know another way I could figure out if a marker has been clicked? I'm forced to use the Static maps unfortunately, so I can't do any of it with the JavaScript API
See:

It is not exactly what you are doing but it does demonstrate Mercator projection conversions & cross-browser mouse events.

How to grab an adjacent maps image in google maps static API

I'm using the Google Maps static API to retrieve an image. I'm trying to figure out a way to grab the image that would be directly to the north, essentially the next tile if it were a map. I know it will be based on the zoom, but I really can't figure out where to start. Any suggestions?

How to scroll map based on Google maps APIs

I want to make Custom Map based on Google maps APIs I am using this code to get the Bitmap image
http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?zoom=18&maptype=hybrid&size=560x480&markers=loc:26.177001,32.736675&sensor=false
Now I want to scroll the map, How can I do that. in other words I want algorithm to link between coordinates and gotten image size and map zoom
Thanks a lot
You are using Static google maps api. That's mean you will get just a print of the map as an image. This is really useful when you want to show just a place in the map without download the javascript lib.
If you want use the map zoom, scrool and other things you have to use the javascript google maps api

How the blue dot in google maps is centered at the current location?

i have several questions about the blue dot that appears when i launch the google maps in the browser. I tried implementing the same by using the blue dot image as the icon property of the marker and changing the position of the marker in accordance with the current location. So when i do this its actually like the maps are refreshing where as in the google maps application the blue dot is moving smoothly(and that's very awesome). My question
is whether blue dot in google maps is implemented as a marker which changes its
position or is it an inbuilt property of google maps which we can use.
i am using google maps API v3 to do this.
Thanks for any information.
It's a marker with custom icon which is placed with HTML 5 position provided by most recent browsers.
When the position change, you can change marker position.
