Right now I am experiencing an unpleasant issue. I have 6 projects running on my JBoss AS 7. They are deployed in standalone mode. After working for some time(5-25 hours) I start to recieve identical error in all my projects : javax.enterprise.event.ObserverException .

I have given a lot of thinking to this issue. One of my suggestions is that MySQL causes that, because there are a lot of methods that are retrieving information from database using JPA CriteriaBuilder. When I check status of MySQL, I can see that there are about 100 slow queries.
In my projects I am using SEAM, Hibernate, JPA, PrimeFaces.
I managed to find a some similar issues but not answers still.

Disabling the listener and manually annotating the classes/methods would be one way of fixing it. If a transaction is marked for rollback, then the listener will roll it back.
It is also possible, that a thread tries to begin transaction that was already rolled back. Thus, in TransactionServletListener.requestInitialized() the transaction status is 4 (rolled back).

I had this stacktrace when my transaction was expired by the JBoss (AS 7). You can increase your transactions lifetime changing this configuration on your standalone.xml:
Inside the node:

The timeout is in seconds.
Note: this errors can be cause by other reasons (Sergey answer is one of them). Usually it happens when your transaction has been finalized or marked for rollback and your process still need it.

It kind of works. However, not all logs are in JSON format. there is a big chunk at the start (I believe these are some of the parent JBoss bootstrap logs) still in regular format. And it seems that there are no handlers in standalone.xml (at least I haven't found them)
My question is how to change or possibly disable those logs that are not in JSON format.

This is because during the initial boot a logging.properties file is used to configure the log manager until the logging subsystem is activated. There are two options.
You copy an already configured logging.properties and standalone-ha.xml over to your image.
In a RUN command in your Dockerfile configure logging by starting the server, then executing the CLI script.
There's been a few questions on this already, but, after trying the solutions (mainly adding through .cli), I'm still unable to these two to work together. Wildfly serves servlets and JSPs w/o db access, and running the class as an application connects to database just fine. IDE is latest (tried to use the latest of everything), Eclipse 2019-12.

I was running integrations tests with Pax-Exam and Karaf, tests got executed successfully but while shutting Karaf, it stuck on below and never resume

I have a short 2 step Spring Batch job that reads from an xml rest service call using StaxEventItemReader in Strict mode. I want it in strict mode because without the ability to connect to the rest service, there is no reason to continue. I want to catch the exception and exit gracefully with a custom message, not with a stack trace.
I'm able to catch the exception using a StepExecutionListener with afterStep() method checking the failures (stepExecution.getFailureExceptions()), but the stack trace is still being output. I'm getting my custom message (13:05:32,981 in the STS Output below) plus the stack trace. When I used the ItemReaderListener with onError method the onError method is not called, I'm guessing because it is an initialization exception not a read error.
What is the best method for capturing the failed to initialize reader exception and suppress the stack trace from the output?

When facing this problem probably the best solution is to check for REST service as soon as possible because "without the ability to connect to the rest service, there is no reason to continue [...] and exit gracefully with a custom message".
Before first step use a JobExecutionDecider where you check for REST availability and continue or end your job according to service presence/absence.
