Thanks in advance
You can use DoCmd.TransferText to save the output to a textfile and FollowHyperlink to open the file.

I am currently loading a local csv file. If I add a column/row in the file, I want to refresh the data in my power bi. If I press refresh in the Query Editor, nothing happens.
Do you have any ideas why that isn't working?
EDIT
It works perfectly for MS Excel but doesn't work for CSV. Why?
When you open the advanced editor, you will see that the original number of columns is defined. Delete that number and it should work!
Try Options -> Data Load -> Clear Cache and afterwards refresh.
In Access, I have a form which will export data to pdf file. The problem is when I click a button on that, it will auto open pdf file but I don't want to.
Any advise is great.
The DoCmd.OutputTo method has an AutoStart-Argument. Set this argument to False and the resulting PDF file should not be opened automatically.
Just follow this 3 steps;
Click on External Data
Select the format PDF or XPS
Uncheck the box behind Open file after Publishing
Tada!!!

Am in the need of creating a file with a extension of JSON(Json file). But I'm unable to create. When I try save a file with json extension like file name followed by a .JSON it is takes as,
filename.JSON.txt
How to solve this?? Am using windows 7(32 bit) OS. Please suggest something ???
When you Save As..., make sure the "Save as type" dropdown contains "All Files" and not "Text Documents(*.txt)". That way it won't add the extension '.txt' but the extension you add.
You have to delate the extension .txt to get a JSON file.
I also struggled with this, but in the end it was quite simple...
In the TextEdit menu, go to "Format" and choose "Make Plain Text".
Then, save the file and write the filename with the .json extension. Pop-up dialogue will ask if you want to save with .json or .txt, just choose .json to confirm!
I have downloaded spatial data from the USGS website that comes in a .dat format, which I can't read in textedit either - it just says "../ofr041189it03/vat.adf". I am familiar with STATA, ArcGIS, and GeoDA, so I was hoping to convert it into a type that can be read by any of these programs (preferably STATA), but don't know how. Any ideas?
Open a New Blank Excel file
In Excel
Go to Data tab
Select From Text
Select the .dat file which you want to open(Note: Select "All files" in dropdown box)
Click Import
Check Delimited and click next
Deselect the tab and select Other and give "|"(Tab symbol) then click next
Click finish and Ok
I am trying to open a .csv file in my Mac, using Excel 2008. Currently, every time I try opening the file, my Mac defaults to OpenOffice.org 3. I never had this problem. I always used to be able to open csv files with Excel.
Where do I go to change the default spreadsheet program for opening csv files back to Excel?
Thank you.
CTRL+Click or Right Click on the CSV file, click on "get info" option. In the popup at the bottom under "opens with", select the application you want to associate with this file e.g. excel.
This works for changing the file associations for most files.
