I'm having a very strange bug in Flex Builder where none of the changes I make are appearing when I debug/run my program. It only happens with a particular AS3 project, on others, it works fine.
For example, I have a line, var x:int = this.prevX + this.x;, whose value is 400 if I don't make any changes. I change the line to var x:int = 0; and set a breakpoint on the line. When I debug the program, it breakpoints just where it should, but the value is set to 400, even when the line is x = 0! What gives!
I've tried cleaning the project and deleting the project and re-importing it. No matter what I do, it won't show any changes I make, even if I just toggle a boolean. It still won't let me compile with errors, but once its done compiling, it completely ignore whatever changes I made. It's like it has the bytecode for the swf cached somewhere and its just ignoring doing the actual build step.
Any ideas?
Check if you have a copy of the swf in the html-template folder. The newly compiled swf will be overwritten by that old one after each build. Happened to me once.
Right click the project in the Flex Navigator and then click Refresh. Refreshing the project worked for me.
Changing from IE to Chrome worked for me.
I was having trouble with this as well, and deleting the html-template folder didn't fix the problem for me. I then renamed the project and it worked after that.
I get this too.
This is the first time I've found this referenced on the net. It's a BIG problem. I get it periodically. For me, it's not the html-template folder.
I've got a couple of ways around the problem at the moment
Delete the bin-debug swf
Overwrite it with a release build.
Delete the release swf
Export the release build elsewhere.
Build a debug version again.
This works - sometimes immediately sometimes after a few repetitions.
One other technique I tried today was to change the compiler options to -dump-config=somefile.
This worked immediately, however, I'll need to wait next time to try again.
It might be a situation of changing the -dump-config filename output when this happens.
Just tried another possible fix (which seems to be working really well) - Change the browser that Flex builder is using to a different one. This immediately fixed the problem. I'll post back here later if I find that this is a reliable fix. - Casp

Im trying to automate a process on my job which is just creating and downloading pdf file like 1000 times but the problem is, i tried both library and both working normal on every test i made except one program that i need. Its not giving error, it looks like working but nothing happens.
I can still locate image on the screen but when i tried to send key or click to a button on program nothing happens. What can i do about this, is there any other way for this?
I tried both library with different programs but the only one i need is the only one that i get issue
I solved my problem today. There is no problem with any library, it was just because of the program that I need running as "Run as administrator" and because of that when I tried to run cmd administrator it's just working well. looks like both should be at the same level to get control over it.
I've just installed this library. PhpStorm does its usual code completion, except for the \XeroAPI\XeroPHP\Api\AccountingApi class. The \XeroAPI\XeroPHP\Api\IdentityApi class in the same folder works just fine.
The file is quite big - 2,560KB. If I delete roughly half of the 65,000 lines from the class (and it works whether it's the first half or the second half) then I get my code completion back. In fact, I can delete just the last 3,000 or so lines (getting the file down to 2,499KB) and it works.
I've also tried a quick regex find/replace to remove all the #throws PHPDoc comments. This got the file down to 2,491KB and hey presto, code completion works fine.
If I had to make a guess I'd say it's not doing code completion with source files over 2.5MB or something, but I can't find any setting for this.
Any way to get code completion going with this file short of deleting stuff from it (which will be restored next time I do a Composer update anyway)?
Based on your info (especially the mentioned file size and the fact that it starts to work after reducing it) you have hit a limit of max file size that IDE is willing to parse and index.
Solution: configure idea.max.intellisense.filesize option using Help | Edit Custom Properties command. By default it has a value of 2500 (size in KB). Set it to 3000 or so (to cover your file size) and restart IDE (it reads and applies settings from idea.properties file on start only).
idea.max.intellisense.filesize=3000
P.S. Do not put that value too big as it may cause other performance issues.
I have created a framework which I want to use in my OS X app. Since updating to Xcode 7 on El Capitan, when I try to command-click on the import statement, Xcode goes to the following view.
How can I get Xcode to display the Swift representation properly?
I've had it happen before, and my solution was to recreate every project file which I don't want to do again.
From my experience there are two possible causes for this issue.
The first one is that your framework can't be located. To fix this you need to go to target's Build Settings and add a path to Framework Search Paths either an absolute:
/Users/{user}/path-to-framework-parent-directory
or relative to project directory:
$(PROJECT_DIR)/path-to-framework-parent-directory
Another possible cause is that the path to your framework contains a space in it. I found that it doesn't matter whether you try to escape it with backslash ../Project\ Name/frameworks or take the whole path in double-quotes "../Project Name/frameworks". The result would be that SourceKit could not load the module.
Note that $(PROJECT_DIR) could expand to a path with a space in it and it would too result in the same error. So it looks like a bug in Xcode/SourceKit (I tried the latest Xcode 7.2-beta3 and the bug is still there).
My repository was on the second hard drive /Voluems/Macintosh HD/Repos. I just renamed the hard drive to HD, so the path looks like /Volumes/HD/Repos and the problem was gone.
Max S. answer pointed me in the right direction, however I was using the 'recursive' option for my framework path.
To get things to work I had to explicitly add a path to directly the framework in question's immediate parent directoy (as oposed to just having a path to one of its higher up directories with the 'recursive' option set).
HTH
I had this problem too and the other solutions didn't work. I finally figured it out in my case:
The target name cannot have a space in it either
To rename it:
Go to your project settings
Expand the target list column on the left if not already there
Click on the relevant target once (or press Enter or Tab when having it selected) and type in the new name without the space
Weirdly, just changing the name of my folder from 'Developer' to 'Development' fixed the issue from me.
Running Product->Clean, Product->Build is what worked for me.
In my case, I have created a framework for my SDK along with podspec for making it cocoa pod.
I had the same problem when i use my SDK and it fixed when I imported Foundation API to the file where I am consuming my SDK
import Foundation
Here is another potential solution - one that worked for me:
After importing the framework I never built for simulator, only for real devices. Swift Modules were not showing up, same error. Then I built for Simulator and it suddenly worked, I could see the Swift Modules.
The reason is that when I make my framework, I have a step that copies the swift modules from the iphonesimulator build to the universal build, but does nothing with the modules from the iphoneos build. So my guess is that this is why it didn't work.
Note: once I selected simulator and built it started working all the time, regardless of the build destination.
I'm relatively new to batch commands and have been learning steadily. My problem is like this:
I've understood how to kill processes using batch commands using many different methods. However, I've been unable to figure out how to close a single tab in, preferably, chrome.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
So, I suppose I should state my exact problem.
I'm using notepad++ as my LaTeX compiler and sending the final pdf to chrome. The reason: I usually have ~20 tabs open related to the project I'm working on and it just makes my work much easier to split my screen between notepad++ and chrome.
My current batch file compiles the LaTeX code and sends the compiled document to chrome as a new tab. For obvious reasons, i don't want to close a tab each time I compile, so I thought that closing the current tab at the same time during compiling would solve my problem. But, I just can't find a way to get my batch file to only close the tab with my compiled pdf.
Thanks in advance!
check all running chrome instances/tabs with :
wmic process where "caption='chrome.exe'" get
and see processes properties.Probably the best indicator that you can rely on in this case is CreationDate (other properties are basically the same for all chrome instances) - it always comes in format YYYYMMDDHHmmss.ms and is easy for string comparison. But you'll have to know the time when it was started.
I downloaded some code earlier from a tutorial and I need to look it over so as I can see where I am going wrong, yet I am struggling with it. In theory, it should have rather a lot of code, 100 lines or so at least, but when I open it I get:
import TBG07a;
var mygame:TBG07a = new TBG07a(this);
and I'm unsure why. I checked the Actionscript (3.0) properties, nothing hidden, I checked everything I can think of but it's 1 frame, 1 scene, 1 layer.... I can't think where any of the rest of the code would appear. It is of course a .fla file and it works completely when I run it.
I'm probab;y missing something stupid here but I'm unsure, can anybody help at all?
Ta.
John.
John, check out the directory where *.fla file is located, if there are any .as files in that folder? If no files found, then check fla's Library pannel, if any movieclips there have "AS Linkage" property filled (if so, try editing those movieclips). Also you may check out "File"->"ActionScript Settings"->"Source Path" list (by default it consists only one "." folder).
