Stop Visual Studio from deploying SSRS report with domain account? - reporting-services

When trying to deploy report VS does not prompt me for my account credentials but instead attempts to use my domain windows credentials. How can I disable windows authentication for visual studio?

I've used a service account to deploy reports before by:
Hold the shift key down and right click on the Visual Studio application in the menu. Select "More" | "Run as a different user".

Error when setting up continuous integration for Service Fabric Containers in Azure: The selected account doesn't have sufficient permissions

I am trying to get this tutorial working (Deploy a .NET application in a Windows container to Azure Service Fabric) but I am getting the error below:
The selected account doesn't have sufficient permissions to access this team project. You'll need to use a different account
The tutorial asks me to right-click on Solution Explorer in Visual Studio, and Configure Contnuous Delivery to Azure Unfortunately, Visual Studio 2017 v 15.5.6 comes up with the seemingly erroneous error above, with no further clues! My account is the one and only administrator! (Indeed, it is the account I used to create the whole of my VSTS setup!)
Any ideas greatly appreciated...

dynamics ax ssrs deploy error

I've got this error when I tried to deploy SSRS report in Visual Studio.
(DAX 2012 kernel 6.0.1108.6510 app 6.0.1108.670 solution 6.1.1108.670)
Error 1 A call to the Microsoft Dynamics AX SRSFrameworkService service failed. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 10.43.6.57:8201. C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\DynamicsTools\Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Design.Reporting.Modeling.targets 466
10.43.6.57:8201 is old address new should be 10.43.6.91:8201
Where I can change it?
In AX form SSRSServerFarm address is new:(NLDDAXDBS02TR, http://NLDDAXDBS02TR/Reports, 01#NLDDAXDBS02TR)
I run Visual Studio like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe" /AxConfig "c:\Users\Username\Desktop\DEV.axc" with correct config file
in axc file I don't have 10.43.6.57 or old dns NLDDAXDBS01T
I scanned and replaced values in registry on client and server machine, checked all files on client and server machine, checked all values in database.
Also restarted AOSes, SSRS service, and client RDP session.
Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration and perform a Refresh Configuration didn't help
Full CIL Compilation, Deactivate BIServices, Activate BIServices also didn't help
Running Visual Studio as Admin - same result
nslookup says: NLDDAXDBS01T - 10.43.6.57 NLDDAXDBS02TR - 10.43.6.91
System Administration > Setup > Business intelligence > Report Servers is correct because i tried to deploy from another rdp server and it works fine
Are you certain the default report server is setup correctly in Ax?
Found under:
System Administration > Setup > Business intelligence > Report
Servers
Check your business connector configuration to make sure it's connecting to the right environment, see https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa569654.aspx
I think Visual Studio deploys to AX based on that business connector AXC, so if that's pointed to an incorrect environment that has the "old" SSRS setup, it would explain your issue.
I got this problem one time due to multiple AOS and SSRS instance, or you might stop AOS service while user still using.
First, you need to make sure Report servers configuration point correctly to SSRS instance.
Then, stop all AOS service, go to reporting service login with correct instance and check everything again.
Then, perform full compilation using AXbuild.exe , Full CIL.
Start AOS service and check.

Access SSRS 2016 New Reporting Portal

I have been trying out the SQL Server CTP 3.1 for a while. For a couple a weeks ago Microsoft released CTP 3.2 (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlrsteamblog/archive/2015/12/17/introducing-mobile-reports-and-a-brand-new-web-portal.aspx) which should include the new Reporting Portal and the possibility to use the new Mobile Reports feature.
I have successfully upgraded my CTP 3.1 installation to 3.2. For some reason I cannot see/access the link to "Preview the new Reporting Services"
Microsoft indicated that the link to the preview of the new portal should be found in the upper left hand corner of the Reporting Portal. But I there is nothing visual to me.
SSRS Reporting Portal
Has anyone tried it out and successfully launched the preview of the new portal? Am I missing some setting?
I found a solution. By trigger an update of the Report Manager URL I succeeded to get the preview portal working. It seemed like the preview URL was not created in the update, for some reason..
Navigate to Reporting Services Configuration Manager
Go to "Report Manager URL"
Change the virtual directory to someting else, click "Apply". Let the configuration manager to its thing. After complete, you can change back to the original value (Reports) again (and press Apply).
This should do the trick!
Reporting Services Configuration Manager
You can go directly to the preview portal:
http://<server>/reports_preview
as per MSDN

Where is sql server reporting service virtual folder hosted?

I installed the SSRS 2012 and tried visit
http://mybox.org/Reports, but get an error saying:
User 'mybox\xxx' does not have required permissions. Verify that
sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account
Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed
So I tried to check the IIS settings. But astonishingly found that in my IIS 8 management console, there's no Reports site or virtual folder. So, where is the Reports being hosted? And how to troubleshoot this permission error?
Physical directory of reportserver and report manager can be found under:
\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services
SSRS 2008 doesn't need IIS to work anymore. It sounds like that error is coming straight from SSRS and not the web server anyway. You need to give your account (MYBOX\xxx) access using the report manager interface. (SSMS can no longer be used to grant rights for report manager).
You'll need local administrator access to the machine that SSRS is installed on since it automatically has system-wide admin rights in report manager. Then you just navigate to http://localhost/reports and give \MYBOX\xxx whatever security permissions you need.
An MSDN tutorial on user rights management in SSRS.
For SQL Server 2017 the location pattern changed and now the default physical directory of ReportServer is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services\SSRS\ReportServer

rsAccessDenied Report Server

I'm trying to get SQL Server Report Manager to work. I'm on windows 7, 64 bit, installed SQL Server Developer with everything included. Every service for MSSQLSERVER is running, IIS is running.
I go to localhost/reportmanager and get a rsAccessDenied message. I've looked at almost every website on this problem, but only found useless answers. Answers like "disable anonymous users in IIS" (what? No.) and always this thing about doing stuff in report manager. I don't have report manager, I have BIDS.
I try as follows: I'm an administrator, still, I run IE as administrator. I'm prompted for my credentials. I use my credentials for my current account, get rsAccessDenied message.
To make the Report Manager work under Windows 7, I had to add the registry key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy"=dword:00000001
Now, the local administrator can login to localhost/reports.
Also, see:
http://geekswithblogs.net/bjones/archive/2005/05/01/38818.aspx
BIDS is a Visual Studio plug-ins to handle BI projects.
You do have Report Manager if you have installed the SSRS services.
First off, have you activated the SSRS install by running the Report Server Config utility?
Second, have you configured SSRS for WIn Vista/Win 7?
Also, last time I looked the default is
/Reports is Report Manager
/RportServer is the underlying web service that both Report Manager and VS use
Why do you say "I haven't got Report Manager" and then proceed to launch a URL with "ReportManager" in it?
