I'm trying to get all rows from a table that lie between two dates. As a test, I set my two variables so that everything between 2000 and 2020 would show, but I ran into an error:
Unknown column 'DATE_START_SELECTED' in 'where clause'
This is the code I used:
$DATE_START_SELECTED = new DateTime('2000-01-01 05:59:00');
$DATE_END_SELECTED = new DateTime('2020-03-15 09:30:00');
$query = 'SELECT * FROM events WHERE DATE_START_SELECTED <= start_datetime AND end_datetime < DATE_END_SELECTED';
$result = mysql_query($query) or die(mysql_error());
Any idea why? Thanks :)
You are using Object
$DATE_START_SELECTED = new DateTime('2000-01-01 05:59:00');
$DATE_END_SELECTED = new DateTime('2020-03-15 09:30:00');
The best bet is you have to convert it to string, like
$DATE_START_SELECTED = '2000-01-01 05:59:00';
$DATE_END_SELECTED = '2020-03-15 09:30:00';
Then, change the SQL to
SELECT * FROM events
WHERE
start_datetime >= '$DATE_START_SELECTED'
AND
end_datetime < '$DATE_END_SELECTED'
DATE_START_SELECTED is string,
in SQL mode will refer to column name, table name or database name
while $DATE_START_SELECTED is PHP variables

My question has 2 parts, and i am unsure if it is my query which is causing the error or data adapter.
Part 1. I have a mySQL query which works fine on SQLyog, the query involves selection from tables existing in different databases. And both databases has been set to have the same accecss rights for the user account used at the connection string.
Below will be my query.
SELECT `portaldb`.`users`.`full_name` AS 'Name of User'
,`Systemrevamp`.`System_countries`.`CountryName` AS 'Quoted For'
,`Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`UniqueQuote` AS 'System Quote ID'
, IF (
LEFT(`Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`username`, 1) = ' '
,'Web Access'
,'Bulk Upload'
) AS 'Type'
,DATE_FORMAT(`Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`insertedon`, '%d-%b-%Y') AS 'Quoted On'
FROM `portaldb`.`users`
INNER JOIN `Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote` ON TRIM(`Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`UserName`) = `portaldb`.`users`.`usrname`
INNER JOIN `Systemrevamp`.`System_countries` ON `Systemrevamp`.`System_countries`.`Code` = `Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`CountryCode`
INNER JOIN `portaldb`.`permission_details` ON `portaldb`.`permission_details`.`user_ID` = `portaldb`.`users`.`user_ID`
WHERE `portaldb`.`permission_details`.`group_ID` = '5'
AND `Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`insertedon` >= (NOW() - INTERVAL 3 MONTH)
ORDER BY `portaldb`.`users`.`full_name` ASC,`Systemrevamp`.`uniquequote`.`insertedon` ASC
Visual studio keeps telling me there is syntax error and to check the version of SQL, but I am able to retrieve at the database.
Part 2. Below is a snippet of my code. My question for this part is, if the above query is used, what source table should I put for the data adapter to fill at 'XXX'?
myDataAdapter = New MySqlDataAdapter(strSQL, myConnection)
allUserDataset = New DataSet()
myDataAdapter.Fill(allUserDataset, "XXX")
gvAllQuotes.DataSource = allUserDataset
gvAllQuotes.DataBind()
Please let me know if more information is needed. Thank you.
I have to update table which have column data type as integer, but I have an input as a datetime. this is query that i hve writen
UPDATE T_SCH_ETAX_TEMP SET CURRTIME = UNIX_TIMESTAMP
(TIMEDIFF("(SELECT DATE_FORMAT(?,'%H:%i:%s') TIMEONLY)", "(SELECT
DATE_FORMAT(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,'%H:%i:%s') TIMEONLY)"), LENGTHTIME =
UNIX_TIMESTAMP(TIMEDIFF("(SELECT DATE_FORMAT(?,'%H:%i:%s')
TIMEONLY)", "(SELECT DATE_FORMAT(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP,'%H:%i:%s')
TIMEONLY)")
any one can help how to convert timestamp result as an integer so I can update the table using SSIS
I could be wrong, please forgive me if I am, but you seem to want something simpler:
UPDATE T_SCH_ETAX_TEMP
SET CURRTIME = UNIX_TIMESTAMP(
TIMEDIFF(TIME(?),
TIME(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP))),
LENGTHTIME = UNIX_TIMESTAMP(
TIMEDIFF(TIME(?), TIME(CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)));
Which would only require 2 parameters ('ss');
If this is the case, in can be simplified to:
UPDATE T_SCH_ETAX_TEMP
SET CURRTIME = UNIX_TIMESTAMP(
TIMEDIFF(?,
CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)),
LENGTHTIME = UNIX_TIMESTAMP(
TIMEDIFF(?, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP));
if you pre-format your parameter strings
Previously, this was working:
$patient_story_set_photos = $wpdb->get_results('SELECT * FROM wp_before_after WHERE patientID = '.$post->ID.' AND patient_display = 1');
However, when I try to add another AND condition like this:
$patient_story_set_photos = $wpdb->get_results('SELECT * FROM wp_before_after WHERE patientID = '.$post->ID.' AND patient_display = 1 AND period_taken = '.$set->period_taken);
I get the following error on screen:
WordPress database error: [Unknown column '1hour' in 'where clause']
SELECT * FROM wp_before_after WHERE patientID = 8175 AND patient_display = 1 AND period_taken = 1hour
Can't see why there's a problem, are you not allowed to use multiple AND conditions in SQL?
The problem is not the AND, the problem is your 1hour, 1hour unquoted means a reference to an object (database, table) named 1hour, you need to quote '1hour'.
If you write
SELECT * FROM wp_before_after
WHERE patientID = 8175
AND patient_display = 1
AND period_taken = '1hour'
you will compare the field periodtaken to a string (CHAR,VARCHAR,TEXT) equal to '1hour'.
I assume period_taken is a field typed CHAR,VARCHAR or TEXT
Before anything, DO NOT CONCATENATE SQL STRINGS nowadays it is a MUST (see how to do it properly https://stackoverflow.com/a/60496/3771219)
The problem you are facing is because, I presume, that the period_taken field is some sort of Char/Varchar/String field and when you are filtering by a "Stringy" field you must sorround your literals values with single quotes:
SELECT *
FROM wp_before_after
WHERE patientID = 8175
AND patient_display = 1
AND period_taken = '1hour'
Hope this help
SELECT
domain_usage.url,
LEFT(url,locate('?',url)) AS cleanURL
FROM
domain_usage
WHERE
MONTH(domain_usage.login_date) = (Now()) AND
YEAR(domain_usage.login_date) = (Now());
Returns no records, and no error ?
im trying to clean the query string from URL field.....
Any thoughts ?
Your date comparisons are wrong. you're basically trying
3 = '2013-01-18 10:36:00'
you need to compare apples to apples:
MONTH(domain_usage.login_date) = MONTH(now())
modify your WHERE condtion,
SELECT domain_usage.url, LEFT(url,locate('?',url)) AS cleanURL
FROM domain_usage
WHERE MONTH(domain_usage.login_date) = MONTH(CURDATE()) AND
YEAR(domain_usage.login_date) = YEAR(CURDATE())
I am working from 2 databases and I need to find records which matches the closest times. Both fields are datetime().
So in essence:
table1.time = 2012-06-07 15:30:00
table2.time = 2012-06-07 15:30:01
table2.time = 2012-06-07 15:30:02
table2.time = 2012-06-07 15:30:03
NOTE: The table I am querying (table2) is a mssql table, and table1.time is a datetime() time. I need to find in table2 the row which closest matches table1.time, but I have no guarnatee that it would be an exact match, so I need the closest. I only need to return 1 result.
I tried the SQL below based on an example from a previous stackoverflow query but it failed to work.
Table1 is a mysql database where table2 is mssql and the query happens on table2 (mssql)
try {
$sql = "
SELECT
PCO_AGENT.NAME,
PCO_INBOUNDLOG.LOGIN AS LOGINID,
PCO_INBOUNDLOG.PHONE AS CALLERID,
PCO_INBOUNDLOG.STATION AS EXTEN,

PCO_INBOUNDLOG.CHANNELRECORDID AS RECORDINGID,
PCO_SOFTPHONECALLLOG.RDATE,
PCO_INBOUNDLOG.RDATE AS INBOUNDDATE
FROM
PCO_INBOUNDLOG
INNER JOIN
PCO_LOGINAGENT ON PCO_INBOUNDLOG.LOGIN = PCO_LOGINAGENT.LOGIN
INNER JOIN
PCO_SOFTPHONECALLLOG ON PCO_INBOUNDLOG.ID = PCO_SOFTPHONECALLLOG.CONTACTID
INNER JOIN
PCO_AGENT ON PCO_LOGINAGENT.AGENTID = PCO_AGENT.ID
WHERE
PCO_INBOUNDLOG.STATION = :extension
AND ABS(DATEDIFF(:start,PCO_SOFTPHONECALLLOG.RDATE))
";
$arr = array(":extension" => $array['extension'], ":start" => $array['start']);
$query = $this->mssql->prepare($sql);
$query->execute($arr);
$row = $query->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC);
$this->pre($row);
}
I am getting the following error at the moment:
SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 174 General SQL Server error: Check messages from the SQL Server [174] (severity 15) [(null)]SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 174 General SQL Server error: Check messages from the SQL Server [174] (severity 15) [(null)]
Found a shorter version:
SELECT * FROM `table` WHERE `date` < '$var' ORDER BY date LIMIT 1;
